Val Gardena

Runggaditsch:

The village of Runggaditsch is a fraction of the municipality of Kastelruth. Three native languages are spoken in South Tyrol, Ladin being the third national language alongside Italian and German. Even though Ladin is the least spoken language in South Tyrol, accounting for just over 4% of the population, it is relatively well represented in Val Gardena. It is still taught in schools, which shows how much the people of Val Gardena love their land and its faction.

The village center of Runggaditsch is easily manageable in size, but has nevertheless retained its original character. It is still surrounded by a high proportion of alpine pastures, green meadows, dense forests and mountains. If you want to spend your vacation in Runggaditsch, you can give free rein to your imagination in a variety of ways, as you can quickly reach the Sciliar area, the Alpe di Siusi and the four villages of Bulla, Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva. A vacation in the Dolomites promises sporting challenges, breathtaking views and enjoyable moments.

Ortisei

Ortisei, the main town in Val Gardena, is known for its picturesque town center and the surrounding mountain landscape of the Dolomites and St. Jakob. Situated between the Alpe di Siusi, Rasciesa and Seceda, Ortisei is a very popular vacation destination. Refreshments, stores, children’s playgrounds, walking paths and much more offer ideal conditions for carefree days in the heart of the Ladin valley
